In Nippes spielt die Musik

Die neunte Nippes-Nacht am 17. August 2008 bietet über 100 Auftritte an 30 ungewöhnlichen Orten

So viel Zuspruch gab es noch nie: Von Kabarett über Jazz, Literatur, Folk, Latin, Pop, Swing, Bossa, Ska und Punk – die Nippes-Nacht hat diesmal wirklich für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Die Nippes Nacht das größte Festival seiner Art. Mit dem sehr günstigen Eintrittsbutton (6.- Euro im Vorverkauf) hat man freien Zugang zu allen Veranstaltungen, der Erlös kommt zu 100 Prozent den auftretenden Künstlern zugute.

An 30 verschiedenen Orten werden über 450 Künstler ihr Publikum begeistern. Einzelkünstler, Bands oder große Ensembles treten auf. Neben allem, was in der Nippeser Kneipenszene Rang und Namen hat, sind auch diesmal wieder ungewöhnliche Orte dabei: Jazz bei Silko Schüler, Irish Folk auf dem Baudriplatz oder Kabarett in der Buchhandlung Blücherstraße gehören dazu. Als „ausgelagerter Nippeser“ bietet Odo Rumpf auf seinem Gelände um 23 Uhr den letzten Act mit Dexter Dub und anderen DJs.

Hier gibt es aktuelle Infos, Pläne und Verlinkungen zu den einzelnen Bands. Ein genaues Programm wird auch am Abend selbst ausliegen.Eröffnet wird der Musik-Marathon mit einem Überraschungsevent um 17 Uhr auf dem Schillplatz. Tagsüber gibt es ein Familienfest im Garten der Kulturkirche. Eintrittsbuttons sind im Vorverkauf an allen Vorverkaufsstellen und bei den beteiligten Locations zum Preis von 6.- Euro erhältlich, an den Abendkassen kosten die Buttons 9.- Euro. Mit dem Button kommt man in alle Veranstaltungen.

Die Nippes Nacht wird als ehrenamtliches Projekt von einigen Kulturschaffenden in Nippes organisiert und verwirklicht.

On 8th August, 2008, the Sensor Club hosts a bunch of international DJs and VJs to give the visitors of the Evoke demoscene festival, as well as all interested party people, a worthy evening full of exquisite music and stunning visuals.

The Finnish drum’n’bass DJs Resound and glxblt are the internationale highlights of the evening. Resound from Tampere, also known as Krii, belongs to the big names of the European drum’n’bass scene, sporting numerous recor releases and an own radio show. Young glxblt will have the opportunity to show his outstanding talent with a fresh neurofunk set. Also, the evening will feature 2krazy from Berlin, who did a lot to popularize Dubstep in the German capital and beyond.

The (inter)national names of the evening are accompanied by various acts from the region. Desmond Denker will play a liveset of his bass-leaning sounds, Penelope and Napalm Dread will serve dubstep, uk dub and grime, Dexter Dub will spin some jungle vibes. Mr. Lagos will herald the evening with funk, soul and the likes, and Monkey Matters will end it with some pumping electronica.
As last year, Evoke visitors will be granted free entry, while the rest enjoys the evening for only 6 euros.

„Dexter Dubs Record Release Party"

To celerate the release of Dexter Dubs first vinyl 12 Inch (Behold/Dub Mi Ya Choppa), the Basspräsidium invites you to come to the release party at the Tsunami Club, Im Ferkulum 9, Cologne on Saturday 26th of July.

Embedded in the program of the Basspräsidium DJs with a.o. Bam Bam Belay, Pintmurderer and Desmond Denkker, Dexter Dub will play the main part together with the live musician AC Akut and heat up the crowd.

With AC Akut on the Didgeridoo and Dexter Dubs Sampler you can expect a live show, where special dubplates and rare beats come across your ears. You will be taken on a journey along the electronic genres that intersect with Reggae, such as Dubstep, Electro, Big Beat, Dancehall, Jungle und Ragga-Jungle.

For sure you will get an ear on his single, that will be released on 25th of July. Apart from that you can listen to older and younger and unreleased productions by Dexter Dub and other Producers and Remixers.

12.01.2008 Dexter Dub at Plattensport

On Saturday 12.01.2008 before Mighty Jungle starts, you can stay home and prepare for the night by listening to Radio KölnCampus on 100 Mhz.

Dexter Dub and Pintmurdera will be featured in the show "Plattensport" at Radio Köln Campus to warm up the crowd for their new party "Mighty Jungle" which will start later that evening. It will start at 20.00, run till 22.00 and the only thing you have to do afterwards is fall from your couch into the club and dance the night away...
